*Bobbing for apples:
also known as apple bobbing, is a game often played on Halloween. The game is played by filling a tub or a large basin with water and putting apples in the water. Because apples are less dense than water, they will float at the surface. Players (usually children) then try to catch one with their teeth. Use of arms is not allowed, and often are tied behind the back to prevent cheating.)

Give me something good to eat,
Not too big, not to small,
Just the size of Montreal!
Or:
Deal out, Deal out,
The witches are out!

Trick or treat, you’re so neat.
Give me something good to eat.
Nuts and candy, fruit and gum.
I’ll go away if you give me some.

Cause I might Scare you!

Owl
An owl set watching in a tree,
Just as wise as he could be,
Watching tricksters from door to door run,
Trick or treating and having fun,
After he had watched the whole scene,
He said whoo whoo, it’s Owl-o-ween!

Mice and Rats,
Halloween, Halloween,
Strangest sights I’ve ever seen!
Ten Little Witches
One little, two little, three little witches,
Four little, five little, six little witches,
Seven little, eight little, nine little witches,
Ten little wicked witches!
Three Little Witches
One little, two little, three little witches,
Fly over haystacks, fly over ditches,
Fly over moonbeams without any hitches,
Hey! Hey! Hey! It’s Halloween Night!
Five Little Pumpkins
Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate,
The first one said, “Oh, my it’s getting late!”

The third one said, “Well, I don’t care!”
The fourth one said, “Let’s run and run and run!”
The fifth one said, “I’m ready for some fun!”
OOH went the wind, and out went the lights,
and the five little pumpkins rolled out of sight!
Ghost and Goblins
When ghost and goblins come to town,
and the skeletons all dance around,
Just pull these covers over your head,
and then…
Watch Out!
Skeleton Parade
The skeletons are out tonight.
They march about the street this night,
With bony bodies, bony heads and hands and feet
Bony, bony, bony bones,
With nothing in between,
up, down and all around,
They march on Halloween,
All throughout the town!
Peter, Peter Pumpkin Eater
Peter, Peter pumpkin eater,
Had a wife but couldn’t keep her,
He put her in a pumpkin shell,
And there he kept her very well.
Peter, Peter pumpkin eater,
Had another and didn’t love her,
Peter learned to read and spell,
And then he loved her very well.
